## About

Watchdog is built by Supersolve AS, a Norwegian company founded in 2025. The platform monitors over 5 billion NOK in annual spend and has found invoice errors worth millions for its customers.

Watchdog is not an ERP system. It is a lightweight add-on that connects to existing accounting software via API or manual upload, requiring no custom development to get started. It is designed for finance teams, procurement departments, accounts payable teams, and CFOs who want automated invoice validation.

## How It Works

Watchdog follows a three-step workflow:

1. **Find errors**: Watchdog runs in the background, checking every incoming invoice against contracts and historical pricing, and notifies users when it finds errors.
2. **Validate findings**: Users see the invoice, the relevant contract clause, and the calculated impact side-by-side to approve or decline each finding.
3. **Claim overcharges**: Watchdog groups errors into a single case, drafts supplier correspondence, and compiles all proof needed to win the dispute.

## Features

- **Enforce contracts**: Activate supplier contracts and get alerted when suppliers charge wrong prices, skip discounts, or violate agreed terms.
- **Detect price hikes** (coming soon): Find deviating pricing patterns based on historical analysis on item level.
- **Never pay twice** (coming soon): Block duplicate invoices and overlapping purchases automatically.
- **Block fake invoices** (coming soon): Detect fraudulent suppliers and suspicious banking changes instantly.

## Getting Started

1. Connect invoices by entering an API key to link accounting software, or upload documents manually.
2. Optionally upload supplier agreements — the AI automatically extracts expected discounts, kickbacks, and other contract terms.
